Pressalit has a tradition of working with well-known designers of our time. It helps challenge and surprise with new shapes, colours and functions, many of which were presented at the world's largest plumbing fair this March.
Dutch design duo Scholten & Baijings added colour to Pressalit's stand in the ISH trade fair held in Frankfurt from 10-14th March 2015. Stefan Scholten and Carole Baijings designed the Colour Blend series, a range of toilet seats decorated with a special dotty pattern.
Colour Blend gives you the opportunity to create a unique bathroom environment The toilet seats' dotty pattern was developed using Pressalit Seats' existing colour palette. The shades span traditional white to light grey and clear blue. The designers have formulated four worlds that describe the look each seat brings to the room. All the colours naturally go with the toilet pan's shades of white.
Dynamic design duo
Decorated toilet seats are a new phenomenon in Nordic sanitary ware design, which tends to have a more simple look. The two Dutch designers are known for combining minimalist shapes and a balanced colour choice. Thanks to Scholten and Baijing's ability to challenge different production processes and working methods, they are able to create products that are at once functional, unique and innovative. The Colour Blend series is a prime example of this.
New seat with seductive curves
Pressalit Seats also presented the brand new designer seat, SWAY D at the ISH fair. With its delicate and tasteful design, SWAY D is as much a decorative element in the bathroom as it is a toilet seat. SWAY D presents a sweeping feather-light line to a simple slim seat. The slim, curved profile emerged in the initial design phase after hours of manual shaping. SWAY D was designed by Pressalit's in-house designer Lars Herold. His ambition was to design a seat for the discerning minimalist.An ambition he has definitely achieved.
Like all seats from Pressalit Seats, the new seats are made in Denmark at the Ry factory. It is where all production and technological development takes place.
